Turn your retired personal electronic devices into cash donations to help service members and their families.

Donating retired personal electronic devices (i.e., mobile phones, PDAs, and MP3 players) will allow The Armed Forces Foundation (AFF) and their partners to fully recycle and repurpose these devices in an environmental sound and secure way to help AFF fulfill its mission of ensuring the wellbeing of America's service members and military families. AFF's partnership with VertiGO Recover allows your donated devices to be recycled while creating value for the foundation. Your unneeded junk is literally transformed into dollars to support our programs. In return you receive a tax deduction for the device's recyclable value as well as the peace of mind of knowing all your data on the device will be securely removed in a manner compliant with standards used by the Department of Defense for their own equipment.

The Armed Forces Foundation believes it is important for all contributions to have a positive impact, for this reason we return 94% of every dollar to the troops and families we serve.

The Armed Forces Foundation (AFF) was established in 2001 as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization under the U.S. Department of Defense’s America Supports You Program.

The AFF offers vital assistance to active-duty and retired military personnel, National Guard, Reserve Components, and military families as they cope with difficult circumstances. The AFF has been recognized by George W. Bush, the Department of Defense, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the Department of Education, and the Department of Energy for its dedication to America’s Service Members. Since 2001 the foundation has provided hundreds of thousands of dollars to pay for hotel bills and to offset the expenses of families visiting a loved one in the hospital.

Programs offered through the foundation include the Family Assistance Program, Injured Support Services, the Housing Assistance Program for troops returning to their communities after injury, Family Bereavement Assistance for surviving family members, as well as the Classic Outdoors Sports Program, which includes hunting and fishing programs for troops and their families. The staff of the Foundation regularly visits with wounded troops at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to provide support, give gifts, and show them our appreciation for their service and sacrifice.
